Back Issues
Before purchasing back issues using the shopping cart, please decide on the quantity and specific issues you want. You can find descriptions of each of the nearly 200 back issues on VSN's main website (www.vampstampnews.com/back.html). Once you know what you'll be ordering, come back here to place your order.
VSN back issues are packed with information on rubber stamps. You'll learn more about stamping in the pages of VSN than you can anywhere else! The number of pages varies. The earliest issues are very thin and black and white. As time passed, more pages were added and spot color was soon introduced. In late 1998 some pages became full-color. Most issues from about mid-1994 through mid-2005 included a small sample inside, often a technique or product sample.
I've gotten better at what I do over the years and have also changed printers along the way, so my personal feeling is that the issues on the newer end of the spectrum are the best issues when it comes to production quality. BUT, there are some real gems in even the rougher older back issues. In the early days of stamping, there were more innovations and technique experimentation than you see now and that is reflected in these issues.
The best way to choose is probably to go by the content. See if the issue covers topics that interest you. Purchase a few and see what you think. If you find that you like what you are reading, you can always come back later to fill in the gaps in your collection.
